Beheading in Farmingdale, New York

Halloween prank gone wrong.  10/29/14

35 year old Derek Ward killed his own 66 year old mother Patricia Ward. He murdered her inside her apartment. Derek had beheaded his mom and dragged the body and head out onto the street. Onlookers thought it was just a macabre Halloween prank but it turned out to be a murder. Moments later the convector jumped in front of a commuter train near Farmingdale, N.Y. and committed suicide.

Patricia Ward (Left) was currently sharing an apartment with her 35 year old son Derek Ward. He had a history of mental illness/ psychiatric problems.

When people saw the beheaded body they though it was just an early Halloween prank. They soon learned it was not a prank it was indeed a true murder committed by her son.

Ebola out break

Liberia, Africa

The Ebola outbreak approximately began in March 2014. There has been 7492 cases of Ebola and 3439 deaths from this cause. This out break started in Africa and the country to have the most deaths and out breaks is Liberia, Africa. Following with 3834 cases and 2069 deaths from this deadly virus/syndrome.

Symptoms: Blood starts leaking/ bleeding into the eye, leads to shock and death and bleeding from the inside to outside, blood pressure lowering,

Scientist think that since there aren't really any food source of meet Africans usually eat monkeys (i.e bush meat) and since we are closely evolved that we are basically eating our own kind and something must have gone wrong in the blood process.

Dr. Preston Mark discovered HIV 2 in a local pet monkey in a near by village some where in Liberia.
Lofa is a trading center where hunters would bring in the meat to be traded and paid but now closed. Liberian government banished bush meat for health concerns but that's what people can only afford to eat.

Most of the people that live in Liberia think that Ebola is not real it is just Africa's way of getting more money for the government from other countries.

Some say that by eating a monkey you will get Ebola and that's why the Liberia government shut down selling bush meat to the Liberian people because they want to try to reduce the cases of Ebola outbreak.

Scientists have found that humans have contained the same virus that was found in the monkey and by cutting your finger while preparing the bush meat this can transfer the virus and put their health at high risks.
By cutting your finger then touching the meat this is where disease transition can occur.

Ebola has become a serious matter, but it has always been serious it just wasn't a big deal at first but now it has gotten worse and people are starting to become more cautious on what they do in life so they can prevent getting any sort of virus.

Different polices of alcohol in Vermont compared to Germany

Drinking is more likely to kill young people than illegal drugs. People who begin drinking before the age of 15 are more open to damaging their liver and are four times likely to develop alcohol dependence at some time in their lives.

In Vermont two out of three teens the ages between 15-16 says its easy to get alcohol from their homes with out parents knowing it.

One out of four Vermont teens think that drinking alcohol daily could be harmful to their health.

In Germany at the age of 14 they are aloud to drink beer, wine, and others if accompanied by a custodial person.  At 16 they can drink without a legal guardian, and at 18  they are aloud to access distilled spirits.

Vermont and Germany are very different in alcohol wise and Germany is less restricted than Vermont. In Vermont if you are caught drinking underage you can get a fine and sent to jail. In Germany you would just need a guardian to watch over you. In that case Vermont has a safer economy than Germany.

Say no to Alcohol till 21 or over

Restrictions on drugs between Vermont and Colorado

Have you ever wondered why Vermont doesn't allow any drugs let alone marijuana, but in Colorado marijuana is legalized?

In Colorado marijuana became legalized in 2012 in the 64th Constitutional Amendment. You have to be 21 years or older in order to buy or sell it, and you can only use it on private property.

In certain towns or communities they can vote if that drug can be legal in their town.

In some towns people were aloud to open up a medical marijuana store which in my opinion is terrible because people can take abuse on the owners and tell them the fake amount they need/ want.

In Vermont drugs are not legal period. If you were to ever be caught with drugs you would be charged with automatic possession of that substance and would go to trial to prove their innocence and then to jail.

Add caption
For Example In Colchester, VT these two men were coming out of a wooded area with two large backpacks. The officers had noticed so they checked it out and turns out they found over 6.5 pounds of marijuana in their possession. Soon after 44 year old Nam Le and 47 year old Frank Owen. were charged of felony possession of marijuana. This took place near Roosevelt Highway on Wednesday 9/24/14.

Another Example of punishment to possessing drugs is that an Ascutney man named Marshall Grange's home was raided on Friday and the police found heroin, cash and drug paraphernalia. This event had occurred 12 hours before his home had got raided and before this event he got convicted of felony of cocaine possession. He also contained heroin, cocaine and marijuana charges in Windsor County.

A reason to why our state doesn't legalize marijuana is because there would be to many risks with druggies and people who are willing to take advantage of others just for their benefit.

By not legalizing drugs it makes our economy a better place because we wont have to worry about over dosing as much as other states would have to.

Differences in the economy in The United States to Africa

Have you ever wondered what the United States economy looks like compared to Africa's?

One example is that in the U.S.A. there are more Christians than there are in Africa. 76% people in the U.S.A are Christians. The reason that there are more Christians is because when the pilgrims came over to America on The May Flower most of the people had the religion of Christianity  .In Africa their top two religions differ from Islam and Christianity.

One current event happening with the economy in Africa is that the climate change budget puts health and education funds at risk.  The country has experienced higher temperatures and reduced water sources meaning that there aren't that many places to get water in order for survival.

The United States is the largest national economy. Our main export partners are Canada , Mexico, and China.

In Africa there are approximately 1.07 billion people were living in the 54 different countries.  Many African people are poor, March 2013 Africa was recognized as the worlds poorest continent.

When you compare The United States economy to Africa's it makes the U.S look richer than ever but that is not really true because our government owes about $6 trillion to China, and we still owe about $5 trillion to other countries. Instead of taking other peoples money we could have used it to help out other countries who need more health care than we do and for us to stop being so greedy. All we are worried about is making the bigger better I Phone 6 mean while hardly any of the people in Africa can afford food let alone a phone.

The United States economy may seem great at times but we will always owe money to other countries. For example that is why taxes have gone up so that the U.S can pay off their debt.

Even though Africa doesn't have much money there are probably better people there than there are in The United States because in Africa they are greatful for what they have and in the U.S enough isn't enough for them to be satisfied. This is how The United States economy differs from Africa's economy.
